Cult Scottish Alternative rock band Idlewild return for their first UK tour in six years.
Idlewild’s punk rock sound evolved naturally over several albums into a unique, richly melodic alternative rock. Later albums introduced elements of both art rock and folk rock to their classic sound, always underpinned by poetic lyrics and consummate gift for melody.
Humour live together in Glasgow and formed across the 2021 lockdowns, writing and recording their material at home, with the music intended as a backdrop to Andreas' lyrics. Sometimes they’re about letting people down, sometimes they’re about pets dying, sometimes they’re about trying to say something when you don’t have anything worth saying.
