David Byrne returns to Budapest after 17 years

His career began as a founding member of Talking Heads, but after the band’s breakup he went on to build a legendary solo career as well, with songs that reflect the colorful imprint of his creative, ever-restless mind. His new album, Who Is The Sky?, released this year, is no exception — it is filled with joyful and cinematic moments. David Byrne last performed in Budapest in 2009, making his return on June 18 at the Budapest Arena a truly special occasion.

OneRepublic conquers Budapest again

The American pop-rock band will take over the Budapest Arena on June 25 with their hits and explosive energy.

So far, OneRepublic has visited Budapest three times, most recently in the spring of 2022, shortly after Covid restrictions were lifted, as one of the first major international acts to return, delivering an unforgettable show. 

The GRAMMY-nominated OneRepublic consists of singer-songwriter and frontman Ryan Tedder, guitarists Zach Filkins and Drew Brown, keyboardist Brian Willett, bassist and cellist Brent Kutzle, and drummer Eddie Fisher. Since forming in 2002, the group has amassed more than 5 billion streams on Spotify alone, and their hits have dominated radio and streaming charts. Their songs like the record-breaking Apologize, All The Right Moves, Secrets, Good Life, and Counting Stars, which sold 41 million copies.
Their hits have been featured in countless films, and the band has also opened for a new ground in the past year, writing songs for the hugely successful manga-anime adaptation, Kaiju No.8.

The band wrapped up their tour in the United Kingdom and Europe this November, and next year they will return to the old continent with their From Europe With Love tour—arriving in Budapest as well, on June 25 at the Budapest Arena.

Ricky Martin is an iconic figure of Latin pop, etched into our memories with hits such as “Livin’ la Vida Loca,” “Maria,” “She Bangs,” and “Nobody Wants to Be Lonely.” He began appearing in commercials at the age of nine, and at twelve he launched his pop career as a member of the boy band Menudo. He released his first solo album in 1991 and has since sold more than 95 million records worldwide, earning dozens of platinum certifications, two Grammy Awards, and five Latin Grammy Awards. He is equally a master of hip-shaking, dance-floor anthems and passionate, romantic ballads. 

The world-famous superstar recently appeared at the Super Bowl LX halftime show alongside Bad Bunny and Lady Gaga. We can expect a similarly fiery, Latin-infused party this summer at Ricky Martin’s July 6 concert at the Budapest Aréna.

The multitalented icon, Lenny Kravitz, has announced his Lenny Kravitz Live 2026 tour, with which he will return to Budapest on August 2 at the Budapest Arena — almost exactly two years after his hugely successful concert here.

Regarded as one of the preeminent rock musicians of our time, Lenny Kravitz has transcended genre, style, race, and class over the course of a three decade-plus musical career. Reveling in the soul, rock, and funk influences of the sixties and seventies, the writer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist has won four GRAMMY® Awards.

Placebo celebrates the 30th anniversary in Budapest as well

The cult British band is celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut album this year. To mark the occasion, they have announced a reworked version of the record titled Placebo RE:CREATED, as well as an anniversary tour focusing on songs from Placebo and Without You I’m Nothing. Brian Molko and his band will return to Budapest after 10 years, performing on November 13 at Budapest Arena.
