Celebrating 10 years, Uprising returns to O2 Academy Leicester for a huge milestone event, with returning favourites and heavy hitters making their debut.

One of Malawi’s most celebrated contemporary artists, Patience Namadingo known for his soulful vocals, powerful songwriting, and emotionally resonant performances. Blending Afro-soul, gospel, and contemporary African sounds, his music explores themes of faith, hope, love, and everyday life.

Also on the line up is pioneers of Malawian roots music, The Black Missionaries (MaBlacks), joined by the iconic Anthony Makondetsa, celebrated for their rich harmonies and socially conscious lyrics. With a career spanning decades, MaBlacks have become synonymous with timeless African storytelling, blending traditional influences with reggae and Afro-fusion.
