Pomme takes sole creative control of her music for the first time on her fifth album 'la forteresse': A title that has lived with her for years, an image that is both protective and confining.The record unfolds in four chapters: childhood, love and trauma, crossing the wall, and finally emerging on the other side, into the present. Narrated through the lens of a fictional half-human, half-bat creature, confined for centuries within a fortress, until she decides to break free. Her nature is left deliberately ambiguous, so audiences can project their own experiences onto her.True to her style, Pomme never opposes the organic to the synthetic, or restraint to lyricism. Certain tracks are rooted in pure folk, while others open into lush orchestral arrangements - expansive work that speaks to everyone.
