Performed track-by-track from start to finish, the show faithfully recreates the album that redefined popular music, blending American songwriting with the vibrant sounds of South Africa. Backed by a sensational live band and the powerful harmonies of the South African Cultural Choir, audiences are transported on a journey that is joyful, emotional and unforgettable.
Alongside iconic album tracks including “You Can Call Me Al”, “Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoe”s, “Graceland” and “Homeless”, the show also features a carefully curated selection of Paul Simon’s greatest hits, celebrating his remarkable career beyond the album.

The City Hall has 6 seating areas available for every show for wheelchair users. It is necessary for wheelchair seating to be booked in advance. Please contact the box office on 0191 2496050.
Any customer booking a wheelchair seat will receive comprehensive information on access to the City Hall and it's facilities when booking. Access to the box office is via College Street and is fully accessible. There is no access to the Concert Bar and refreshment area for wheelchair users. Where customers are unable to access these areas due to ambulatory difficulties, a drinks service is provided by the City Hall. Members of staff are available and can take drink orders and arrange for then to be brought to the foyer/auditorium, on request. There is no lift access to the balcony. Accessible toilet available in the foyer.
