With a new album in the pipeline - the first new studio album to carry the Queen name since the Freddie Mercury sessions – Queen is heading back on the road for a four-month tour, once again in the company of musician/singer/songwriter Paul Rodgers who joined the band for the highly successful 2005/2006 world tour, the European leg of which ended with the band's spectacular London Hyde Park open air concert before going on to play the US and Japan. In all, the tour was attended by more than a million people.

Together Brian May, Roger Taylor and Paul Rodgers have recorded their first album's worth of material, jointly written and produced. With the title yet to be disclosed, the album is being readied for release September 1, two weeks ahead of the start of the 'Rock the Cosmos' tour.

The Queen + Paul Rodgers 28-date arena tour will take in 14 countries in just seven weeks.

Cardiff International Arena

Getting to the CIA could not be easier. Located in the heart of Cardiff, there are direct road routes from the M4 to the venue and the main train and coach stations are both within walking distance.
 
From M4 Westbound
 
Approach Cardiff on M4, leave at Junction 29 follow signs for A48(M) Cardiff. Continue on A48(M) until exit signed Docks Cardiff East A4161 take this and stay in the left hand lane. At next roundabout turn right for City Centre along A4161 Newport Road. For approximately 3-4 miles, travel straight on. Under railway bridge, turn left at this set of lights, past Queen Street Railway Station on left to next set of traffic lights.
 
For rear access turn left to Security lodge, 100 yards on right.
 
For front access cross over lights and take second turning on left into Mary Ann Street CIA on left Jurys Hotel on right.
 
Alternative route from M4 (either East or Westbound)
 
Leave M4 at Junction 33 take A4232 signs to Barry Island and Cardiff Docks. Carry on road for approximately 10 miles through tunnel and turn left at next roundabout. Bear right at next roundabout along dual carriageway to traffic lights. Turn left at traffic lights keep in right hand lane, go under railway bridge and turn right at next set of traffic lights CIA on right in Mary Ann Street.
 
There is a toll charge of £5.10 for cars travelling Westbound on the M4 at the Severn Bridge. Higher charges apply for larger vehicles.
 
N.B. Payment can only be made in cash.
 
By Rail/Coach
 
Cardiff International Arena is 4 minutes walk from Cardiff Central Bus and Rail Stations. Paddington, London to Cardiff is just 2 hours via Intercity, with trains departing hourly. Direct rail and coach services available from Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham and the South East.
 
By Air
 
Cardiff International Airport is only 20mins drive from the city centre, with scheduled flights available from the UK and many European cities
Cardiff International Arena conforms to DDA legislation, but we are happy to look at new ideas in order to provide the best service we can for our patrons.
 
We have an easy access entrance into the front of the venue, which is via a lowered kerb at the left of the main doors. There is a ramp inside the door, giving access to the foyer, where a member of our Front of House team will be available if assistance is required.
 
Lift access is available to all public levels of the venue, with appropriate toilet facilities on each level.
 
For every performance wheelchair spaces are available, but locations and numbers may vary according to the seating format in use. These spaces are booked directly through Cardiff International Arena Box Office, either by phone or in person.
 
Tiered seating is not accessible to those within wheelchairs or with limited mobility.
 
All bars and catering points are accessible to wheelchair users, although on certain occasions catering will only be provided on ground floor level.
 
Guide Dogs are welcome.
