Multi million selling US rockers Linkin Park have been confirmed as headliners at Download Festival 2011, which takes place from 10th – 12th June at Donington Park.

Since forming in 1996, Linkin Park have gone on to win two Grammy awards and sold over 50 million records worldwide, and they recently released their fourth studio album 'A Thousand Suns', which went No. 1 in 10 countries as well as No. 2 in the UK.

Known for unique collaborations with alternative and hip hop artists, Linkin Park’s headlining performance at this year’s Download will be a true highlight of the weekend.

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington said: "We are very excited to be playing Download again next year. It's one of the best festivals in the world and it's always an honour to play in front of such a great crowd. We can't wait!"
