The Horrors' returned in 2009 with a new ethereal sound when they unleashed acclaimed second album Primary Colours (produced by Geoff Barrow of Portishead). Bringing to mind My Bloody Valentine, The Psychedelic Furs and The Jesus and Mary Chain and yet achieving a sound that is also contemporary and unique. Their sophomore album went from critical acclaim to feature in nearly every end of year "best of" list.
