Reminiscent of that other great female vocalist Karen Carpenter, Rumer is a fantastically unique artist for our time. Shying away from self-conscious trend, she carves a path all her own with distinctive nostalgia which is inherent in her music. Rumer's debut single Slow broke the top 20, showing that the mainstream is finally ready for a musician of her classic calibre.
