Heavy metal giant Metallica has won seven Grammys, had five consecutive albums peak at number one including the classics "Metallica" and "Load," and sold an estimated 100 million records worldwide. Metallica's most recent release, "Death Magnetic," went platinum and was called "huge, polished and tough" by Rolling Stone.
