Cardiff International Arena (or the CIA) is located in the heart of the City, and provides a focus for business and entertainment in Wales. The multi- purpose venue has become first choice for many event organisers and visitors who return year after year. Hosting a variety of events, from world-class concerts and entertainment to conferences, sporting events, exhibitions and trade shows, we attract in excess of 1 million customers in concerts alone each year.

By Rail
Cardiff International Arena is 4 minutes walk from Cardiff Central Bus and Rail Stations. Paddington, London to Cardiff is just 2 hours via Intercity, with trains departing hourly. Direct rail and coach services available from Liverpool, Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham and the South East.
By car
Approach Cardiff on the M4, leave at Junction 29 follow signs for A48(M) Cardiff. Continue on A48(M) until exit signed Docks Cardiff East A4161 take this and stay in the left hand lane. At next roundabout turn right for City Centre along A4161 Newport Road. For approximately 3-4 miles, travel straight on. Under railway bridge, turn left at this set of lights, past Queen Street Railway Station on left to next set of traffic lights.
By air
Cardiff International Airport is only 20mins drive from the city centre, with scheduled flights available from the UK and many European cities

Parking is available at NCP multi-storey car parks around venue. Please visit www.ncp.co.uk for up to date information regarding available parking in and around Cardiff.
The postcode for Cardiff International Arena is CF10 2EQ. Please note that NCP’s David Street Multi Storey Car Park is now closed. Rapports NCP’s Open Air Car Park on David Street remains open, but has limited space.
There are several car parks within walking distance of the Arena, the closest being St David’s 2 on Mary Ann street directly opposite the Arena. The are open 24 hours and have 140 designated disabled spaces.

The Cardiff International Arena is a multi-purpose venue; hosting everything from major International music shows, Business Exhibitions, BAFTA Award Dinners amongst many more events. The main arena can offer flexible layouts for 500-4994 delegate and banqueting for 350-1200. Customers should contact the venue after the event to report any lost property. Any items left/found at the arena will be logged and kept for a maximum of six months after the event. Lost/left items can be collected from the venue by prior arrangement, however we are unable to post any lost items.

Are pushchairs allowed into the arena?
We always allow pushchairs into the arena. On arrival you will be able to leave your pushchair in our cloakroom (free of charge) to be collected at the end of the show.
Are cameras permitted in the arena?
Absolutely no recording equipment of any kind is allowed into the arena. However, 35mm cameras and digital cameras up to 5MP and/or 3 X Zoom are permitted at most events. On occasion, promoters may request a ban on all photography in which case cameras will be confiscated and available for collection at the end of the event. Patrons bringing cameras should do so at their own risk.
Can I bring food & drink into the venue?
No food or drink items can be brought into the venue. However, there are concessions inside the venue from where food and drinks can be purchased.
Can I pay by credit/debit card at the food & drink outlets?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept cards. All transactions are cash only. However, there is a cash machine on site and directly opposite the venue for customers to obtain cash.
Can I smoke at events in the arena?
From 1st July 2007, smoking has been banned in all enclosed public spaces. Anyone found smoking anywhere within the venue will be requested to leave without refund. Patrons will be allowed outside to smoke at a designated time provided you have your ticket with you to be scanned on exit and re-entry.
Are there any age restrictions?
Certain events may have a specific age restriction. Please check for age restrictions at the time of your booking as refunds may not be given. For all other events, children aged 14 or under must be accompanied by an adult when attending a concert.
What facilities are available for disabled customers at the venue?
We aim to provide the best possible Live Experience for all of our customers. We have a dedicated team of operators and stewards who will be happy to guide you through the facilities we offer. Can you provide information on local hotels, restaurants and transport links?

Is official merchandise for an event available for purchase?
On occasion, the promoter for the event may choose to sell official merchandise inside the venue. Please note that the promoter for the tour is responsible for this service, not the venue. Once a show leaves the venue any merchandise will leave with it. Please contact the venue on the day of the event to confirm whether merchandise will be available.
What do I do if I have a complaint?
We aim to offer the best service we can to enable all customers to have a fantastic and memorable experience at the venue. However, if you wish to make a complaint you should ask to speak to one of our duty managers who will try to resolve the situation. Please note that customers are advised to alert a duty manager of any problems as soon as they arise, as issues cannot always be resolved after the show.
What should I bring with me?
We advise customers to bring the least amount of belongings as possible. The CIA cannot be held responsible for lost/stolen items. On occasion we may also be required to search bags on entry into the arena, this will be carried out by SIA registered security staff.
Is there a cloakroom facility available?
For most events we have a designated cloakroom area for customers to leave coats and bags for a small charge. Customers will be issued with a ticket to collect their item at the end of the event. Any items left in the arena will be kept for a maximum of six months after the event.
Which entrance do I use?
Facing the front of the building, our main entrances for ticket holders are on the far left and right hand sides. Our Box Office is situated on the left hand side of the building for customers collecting tickets. Our ramped entrance is in the centre of the arena.
How do I go about holding an event at the arena?
Due to the versatility of the building, the CIA can host a wide range of events for any number of people. We have a team of dedicated event managers, catering managers and technical managers on site who will assist with all of your requirements, and the running of your event.

How do I book a ticket?
There are several ways to book tickets for events at the Cardiff International Arena:
- By calling the CIA Box Office on 02920 22 44 88. Opening hours are 10am-6pm Monday to Saturday. Some on-sales will be 9am
- At the CIA on site Box Office attached to the Arena (Mary Ann St, opposite St David’s 2). Open hours are from 10am-6pm Monday to Saturday. On event nights the Box Office will stay open until the main act is on stage.

I need to check the details of my booking
You need to contact your point of purchase. The CIA box office number is 02920 22 44 88. Please have any information available to you ready. Useful information includes your reference number, name, address, payment card number.
I haven’t received my tickets?
You should receive your tickets at least two weeks prior to the event unless your booking was made closer to the event date. If you haven't received your tickets at least 5 days prior to the event date please contact the box office and you will be advised on the status of your tickets.
I cannot collect my tickets myself
Our collection policy states the cardholder must be present at time of collection. If this is not possible then you should select Post Out at time of booking.
I can no longer attend, can I have a refund?
Unfortunately, tickets purchased are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Are there any concessionary rate tickets?
The event promoter sets the ticket prices and in most instances concessions are not available. If, however, you are able to purchase concessionary tickets you will be asked to provide evidence that you are entitled to purchase these tickets.
Can I post tickets for sale on third party websites?
Tickets are sold for private use and Cardiff International Arena monitor their sale and resale very closley. If we have reason to believe that tickets are being resold, we may invalidate them and refuse entry to the Event.
How do I collect tickets from the box office?
Your tickets will be available for collection on the evening of the event or you may collect your tickets in advance if required. In order to collect tickets from the box office you will need to take the credit or debit card used to purchase the tickets, and the reference number of the booking. The credit card holder will need to sign for the tickets, so they must also be present.
Is it safe to buy tickets over the Internet?
Our box office processes your credit card details over a secure Internet connection, which makes it completely safe to order tickets online. The connection between your browser and our web server is protected with SSL (Secure Socket Layer), which creates a connection over which financial details can be safely passed between your computer and a transactional website.
When will I receive my tickets?
You should receive your tickets within a few weeks of your initial booking. If you have not received your tickets within 5 days of the event, please get in touch with the box office on 02920 22 44 88 and we can advise you on the status of your tickets.
When should I arrive for the event?
The opening time for each event will be printed on your ticket. We advise customers to arrive as close to the time of opening as they can, in order that everyone is seated on time and the show can begin with minimum disruption for others. Unfortunately, we cannot delay the performance time should customers arrive late. Latecomers will only be admitted into the venue at a suitable break in the.
Why is a booking fee charged?
A booking fee is to be added to tickets to cover the cost of providing a box office service. The fees cover the provision of a contact centre and the investment required to provide the ticketing software, call centre technology and on-line ticketing provision.
